The Cost of World War Two

Rich Davala at the Margraten, Holland gravesite of his D-Day buddy Trevor Jones who was killed in action in World War II. Mr. Davla is pictured here at age 89 in 2013. All told, more than 400,000 Americans died in WWII to save the world from tyranny and genocide.

Today only a few hundred thousand WWII veterans are still alive. They are honored as the “Greatest Generation” of all time.

Mianus Village tells the story of a handful of these vets and their families when they returned to an uncertain future in 1945 and beyond.
